Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £55,000 per annum

About Us:
Our client is a leading provider of forensic mental health services across the UK. They are dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex mental health needs in a forensic setting.

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Forensic Psychologist to join our clients team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing and treating patients with complex mental health presentations, contributing to their rehabilitation and recovery within a forensic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting specialist clinical duties to assess and treat patients.

Providing Psychological Therapies for individuals with personality disorders, mental disorders, intellectual disabilities, and complex trauma.

Developing specialised psychological formulations and assessments for patients with complex presentations.

Formulating treatment plans and implementing specialist psychological interventions for individuals and groups.

Conducting psychological assessments based on thorough analysis and interpretation of complex data.

Administering and interpreting assessments of cognitive and emotional functioning as required.

Assisting the multi-disciplinary team in diagnosis, problem formulation, and planning appropriate treatment plans.

Planning, implementing, and evaluating individual and group treatments based on theoretical models and best practice guidelines.

Essential Requirements:

HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist, preferably BPS Chartered.

Experience or interest in rehabilitation and patient recovery within a forensic setting.

Desirable Skills:

  • Clinical supervision training.
  • Training in two or more distinct psychological therapies.
  • Proficiency in individual and group work and program planning.
  • Ability to use complex methods of psychological assessment to inform intervention.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing.
